Production Manager

Pay: $70-80k per year

Job Description

​

Responsible for process engineering, equipment operations, staffing, safety, quality, and efficiency of the Auto Dismantling/Fluids De-pollution area of our metals recycling business. The Dismantling/Fluids De-pollution area employs up to 30 people responsible for efficient draining of all fluids from damaged automobiles, raising them on lifts, removing key components, classifying, and labeling all key components, and safely moving them to areas for parts sale or shredding.

Automotive mechanical knowledge, process engineering, and management experience are key requirements of this position

 

Specific Responsibilities:

 

  • Establish efficient processes for automobile disassembly, fluids draining, tire removal, and catalytic converter processing within multiple stations of de-pollution and parts removal service bays

  • Utilize mechanical skills to establish most effective way to prepare junk vehicles for recycling

  • Staff, hire, train, and manage auto dismantlers and de-pollution specialists

  • Ensure compliance for safety, operational, and company rules and guidelines

  • Initiate, track, measure, and report operational and safety performance metrics

  • Meet or exceed production goals, quality standards, process improvement and relevant metrics

  • Responsible for safety, cleanliness, and orderliness of operational areas

  • Administer regular employee performance reviews

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5yrs experience managing 20+ employees in an industrial/automotive setting

  • In-depth knowledge of automobiles and fluids removal procedures

  • BS degree preferably in an engineering or technical discipline

Tow Truck Drivers

Pay: $16 - $17 Per Hour
Job Type: Full-time/Part-time

Job Description
1st shift, off on Tues/Wed
The duties of a tow truck operator consist of communicating with a dispatcher, driving to the scene of accident, breakdown, or picking up purchased equipment. Connecting the vehicle to the tow truck and transporting it back to the designated location. The driver will be responsible for attaching the disabled vehicle to the tow truck. Tow truck will be using a chain, winch, steering locks, and other devices as well as affixing lights on to the towed vehicle.

​

Experience/Skills/Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 and possess a valid drivers license, a current DOT medical card, and have 2 years of recent driving experience.

  • Be able to pass; background check, a Motor Vehicle Records search, and submit to drug/alcohol tests if needed.

  • Must always use/wear personal protective equipment (PPE) while working.

  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions and lighting conditions.

  • Maintains a professional appearance and promotes a positive image of the company.

  • Available and willing to work full time shifts, including off-hours, weekends, holidays, and as needed.

Automotive Separator/Dismantler

Pay: $16 per hour plus benefits

Job Description

USAR LLC is looking for an Auto Mechanic/Dismantler. This position is responsible for the proper removal of all high-quality auto parts and usable core parts in a safe and efficient manner.

​

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dismantle vehicles within the suggested time constraints in a safety conscious manner

  • Determine core parts of vehicle for re-sale and place those parts in separate area.

  • Check the quality and product type of the parts

  • Remove and properly dispose of fluids from vehicle

  • Other tasks assigned

 

Required Experience: 

  • Hands-on automotive experience

  • Must be at least 21 years of age

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Meet background screening criteria

  • Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb

  • Ability to lift 10-50 pounds

 

Experience:

Automotive: 2 years (Required)/Supervisor: 2 years (Required)

 

Education: High school or equivalent (Required)

Work Authorization: United States (Required)

Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment: Sits, stands, bends, and moves intermittently. Subject to intense physical labor and repetitive lifting. Must be able to lift at least 75lbs. Must be able to work outside in various types of weather. Works with hydraulic oils, motor oils, antifreeze, and diesel fuels.
